Braised Chicken with Chestnuts

Whole chicken 1 (900g)
Packaged chestnut  225g
Coriander 1 stalk


Cooking wine 1 tbsp
Sugar 2 tbsp
Knorr® Chicken Broth Mix 1 tsp
Water 2 cups
Cornstarch solution  1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water


Green onion (cut into 2 inch pieces) 3 stalks
Ginger 2 thin slices
Salt 1 tsp
Dark soy sauce 1 tbsp
Knorr® Chicken Broth Mix 1 tsp



If you intend to use freshly cooked chestnut, cut a cross on each of the chestnuts, then boil for 5 minutes. This makes it easier to remove the shell.
